Why London

What Makes This Location Different

  • Two very different campuses: Guildhouse School sits in central Bloomsbury, walking distance from the British Museum; Brunel University's Uxbridge campus is a quieter, sports-facility-rich suburb 40 minutes from the centre by tube.
  • The included weekly sightseeing programme at Guildhouse covers the British Museum, the Science Museum, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden and more, five sightseeing visits a week are built into that course.
  • Full Oyster-style travel cards are included for the whole stay at Guildhouse, so getting around the city during free time is already covered.

English Summer Courses in London for International Students

London is the most requested destination for a junior English summer school, and the two London schools we work with suit quite different students. Both run the same core: 15 hours of English lessons a week, placement-tested on arrival so every student joins the right level, with full-board accommodation, weekly excursions and supervised evening activities.

Central London or a university campus?

Guildhouse School London is a Georgian townhouse school in Bloomsbury, walking distance from the British Museum. Travel cards are included for the whole stay and students get five sightseeing visits a week around London, more than at any of our other schools. It takes individual students aged 14-17 and groups aged 12-18, with ensuite residence or homestay for groups.

Brunel University, Uxbridge is a modern campus in West London, around 40 minutes from the centre by tube. Students live in single ensuite rooms on campus and have the run of university sports facilities that have hosted British, US and Jamaican athletics teams. It takes groups aged 10-18.

What a week looks like
